Designed to promote quality of care for patients undergoing CT colonography (CTC), the CTC Registry provides evidence-based health outcomes and process data for decision-making purposes. The registry allows facilities to compare their results to regional and national benchmarks for quality improvement. Process measures include rate of adequacy of diagnostic CTC examination and rate of adequacy of screening CTC examination. Outcome measures include rate of colonic perforation, true positive rate, and extracolonic findings.
The American Board of Radiology has qualified the CTC Registry as meeting the criteria for practice quality improvement (PQI), toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certification Program.
