The National Mammography Database (NMD) leverages data that radiology practices are already collecting under the MQSA federal mandate by providing them with comparative information for national and regional benchmarking. Participants receive semi-annual feedback reports that include important benchmark data such as cancer detection rates, positive predictive value rates and recall rates.

The NMD participation fee is waived for facilities that have been designated as Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence by the ACR, for the first cycle.

All NRDR registries are certified as PQI projects toward American Board of Radiology Part 4 Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credit.
